Hayley and Dan’s wedding was pretty special for me. Not only is Hayley one of the most gracious brides I’d had the opportunity, but the event took place in my very backyard, with local vendors. I know it doesn’t mean much to most people, but living in such a small town, it was pretty cool. I love Ayr, Ontario and Hayley and Dan certainly utilized the best of it.
The wedding took place at Nithridge Estates in Ayr on a beautiful September afternoon. The Nithridge Estates grounds are stunning. The house where the bridal party got ready had so much character. It was a photographers dream to shoot in. Hayley’s dress was amazing. When I first saw it hanging in the room where Hayley was getting her makeup done, I swear I gasped out loud. It had that timeless elegance that all brides strive to achieve. Any dress that shows off a collarbone is a winner in my books. Hayley was surrounded by her 2 beautiful sisters and some awesome friends.
The location site where the ceremony was performed was stunning. I never knew that such a gorgeous wedding venue was right behind the house I lived in. Hayley and Dan’s ceremony was so sweet. I’m a bit of an emotional person. There hasn’t been a single wedding that I’ve worked where I have cried at some point. This ceremony got me. Both of Hayley’s parent’s had passed, and the tribute to them throughout the day, but especially at the ceremony had me in tears. I was thankful to be able to photograph this area in private, before all of the guests arrived. Watching Hayley and Dan exchange their vows in front of so many people who love them was beautiful. I can only imagine how proud her parents are of her. Especially for finding such a wonderful man to share her life with.
The rest of the evening had party written all over it. The dance floor didn’t empty until the wee hours. My feet hurt just watching the dancing that was happening. Congratulations to Hayley and Dan. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
