Toronto has so many little cool pockets to shoot in.  You really do get a bit of everything here.  When Dawn and Sean told me that they wanted to have their engagement session in Kensington Market I was pretty excited.  I hadn’t been there in years but remember how quaint it was.  Let me tell you, it has changed since I had been there last.  And busy!  Oh my god, the entire city hangs out there on the weekends.  I was shocked.  Now I don’t mind a crowd, but sometimes it’s intimidating for the couple when they have an audience.  Not my guys.  They rocked it.  We found a couple out of the way spaces so that we could start off on our own, but by the end they didn’t care who watched them.  It was so much fun.

Last Spring I got to second shoot and gorgeous wedding with one of my favourite people, and genius photographer Dana of Dana Lauder Photography.  Go look her up.  You won’t regret it.  Jacklyn and Adam got married on a very rainy day at the Cambridge Mill.  I got to start with  the boys this time before making my way to the bride.  It was such a nice change for me to get to meet the groom and groomsmen first.  Adam’s family was lovely.  So relaxed and calm.

I made my way to Cambridge for the ceremony and was stunned by Jacklyn’s dress.  It was soooo beautiful.  Definitely something unique and memorable.  Despite the not-so-ideal weather we were given, the day went off perfectly.  Jacklyn and Adam were surrounded by family and friends.  Beautiful words were spoken and and love flowed throughout the room.  It was a wonderful day.

Gillian and Jamie had a beautiful wedding last January in the stunning venue The Doctor’s House, in Kleinburg, Ontario.

We started the day at Civello’s in Toronto.  Gillian’s entire bridal party and family hung out with food and got pampered.  The boys went to the barber shop and got old school shaves.

We headed to Kleinburg from there to get ready and I got to witness the most emotional first look of a bride and father.  Gillian and her father had me and everyone around them in tears.  I almost always cry at a wedding.  But I’m pretty sure I let out a sob for this one.

We had the first look with Gillian and her groom shortly afterwards.  Then off to the formal photos at the McMichael Gallery.  We all braved the cold to get some knock out shots at a beautiful venue.

The candlelit ceremony, in the little chapel was lovely.  It truly was an intimate experience.

We partied into the wee hours that night.  Congratulations to Gillian and Jamie.  Your one year anniversary is just around the corner.

I love this family.  You’ve seen them a few times here.  I love it when they add a new person.  I get excited just getting to hang out with them for a few hours.  Jeff and Lisa added a third to the mix.  Little Piper.  I love that name.  Piper was the name I always wanted when I was a kid.

I headed up to Newmarket, (my home town) to meet the new addition last Fall.  She’s almost one now.  Anyone who knows me knows that I can barely handle the 2 kids I have.  3 kids seems like pure insanity to me, but somehow Jeff and Lisa were totally chill.  Their 2 older kids loved holding onto their new sister.  Piper is one lucky little girl.
