I got to hang out with this lovely family, on a gorgeous evening back in the Fall.  These sweet boys know me as “Shea’s Mom”.  Not having to break the ice with them was so great.  We headed for a walk behind their house and the shoot was just natural and easy.  The boys are the sweetest little guys ever, and mom and dad were natural and at ease.  I need to photograph all my friends if the shoot goes this well every time.

I headed back to St. Agatha this past summer to photograph Melissa and Ben for their engagement photos.  I love this location.  It’s stunning in the late summer afternoon light.  The water and relaxed atmosphere, along with my very cool couple made for a pretty kick ass shoot, if I do say so myself.  We got to use all of the elements of the grounds in the most perfect light.  We were surrounded by trees, water and a couple of very excited dogs.  Come take a look at Melissa and Ben’s engagement session.  Countdown to their summer wedding is on!

Melissa and Jeremy’s wedding was a feast for the eyes.  Not only did it take place at one of the most beautiful grounds I’d ever shot at, but Melissa and Jeremy put so much detail into their special day, I didn’t know where to start shooting first.  Their wedding took place at Melissa’s family home, in St. Clements.  This property was made for weddings.  It was stunning.  I spent the first hour walking around the grounds, taking in all of the special efforts that Melissa and Jeremy did for the wedding.  Want to talk about DIY?  I’ve never seen anything like it.  There were so many little details added to this wedding.  I was awe struck.  And I wasn’t alone.  Melissa and Jeremy’s wedding photos were featured in The Wedding Ring magazine.  Definitely an accomplishment for me, but for them as well.

One of my favourite memories of the day was Melissa’s dad’s speech.  Now I’m a bit of a cryer on a good day.  Most weddings I work at evoke some sort of emotion on the day of at some point.  But this was different.  The father of the bride had me sobbing.  Ugly crying behind my camera.  Thank god I had that to put in front of my face so no one could see.  His speech was so beautiful.

Please go and take a look at this stunning wedding and wish Melissa a Jeremy a lifetime of happiness.

Carita and Spencer got married on a very hot and rainy day in August, at one of the most amazing hotels in Toronto; the Thompson Hotel.  If you’ve never been to the Thompson then you are in for a treat.  This hotel is a feast for the eyes.  There is so much gorgeousness all around.  I first met Carita and Spencer at the Thompson when they were touring the venue.  I walked around the hotel with them so excited that I was going to get to shoot here.  Not only did I get to work with one hell of an awesome couple, but I get to photograph them in the most amazing venue.  I’M SO LUCKY!!!!!

The rain didn’t get these two down.  We had to change the ceremony location but that didn’t spoil the day.  Carita and Spencer rolled with it.  Never have I encountered a more laid back couple.  Please take a look at how chill, elegant and gorgeous their wedding day was.  Definitely a memorable one for me.

Meaghan and Ted are probably the cutest couple I have ever encountered.  Ted was the funniest groom every and Meaghan was absolutely radiant.  They got married earlier in the Spring in New York.  They eloped!  I love elopements.  I have a personal connection to them because I had always wanted to elope.  They decided to hold a reception for their family and friends at Ted’s family home at Sunfish Lake.  It was so gorgeous there.  I almost asked to move in!

Meaghan, Ted and their awesome pups hung out on the property before the guests arrived.  We did a portrait session with them and had a blast!  I was killing myself laughing the whole time.  Once the guests arrived the party was in full swing.  Meaghan and Ted’s family and friends were so much fun.  There were smiles and laughter everywhere I went.  You know that a wedding is amazing when you wake up the next day still smiling over it.  It was truly so memorable.
